Water Baptism

Water Baptism is a Great Mission of SHDO.

“Baptism” comes from the Greek word “βάπτισμα,” which signifies “wiping something out.” In Pakistan, some Baptist churches baptize their members by submerging them in water, while others sprinkle water on their foreheads. What is the proper baptismal procedure? In what way was Jesus baptized? Mathew 3:16 “Jesus, When he was baptized, went up directly from the water” The process of baptism is described in this verse.

While some denominations think baptism should only be done when a person is mature, others baptize their children at a young age. We shall now also address this point. See Mathew 3:11 where John the Baptizer said, “I baptize you in water for repentance”.

Now we will understand the importance of repentance that Jesus explains through an example in Mathew 21:25. Here, Jesus asked one question from chief priests and elders of the people, “the baptism of John, the baptizer; where was it from? From heaven or men?” They said we don’t know. Then Jesus gave them an example of two sons to whom their father asked for work in the vineyard. First answered, ‘I will not’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. On the other hand, when the father asked the same thing to the second son. He replied, ‘I’ am going, but he did not go. Who is better? The first one is better, who repent and go.

When we further read Mathew 3:11 verse, we come to know How Jesus gives baptism. He baptizes in the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 3:21 clears us, Baptism is not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. How can we have a good conscience toward God? Is it possible through our force? No, it is possible through the Holy Spirit only. We may have a good intention for a few days through our force but it cannot be long-lasting.

Luke 7:30 says, “But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.” According to this verse, God is blaming those who did not baptize. Mark 16:16 also mentions this truth, “He who believes and baptized will be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.” I think you are now familiar with the importance of Baptism.

I will also explain some gifts of Baptism. The person who will get Baptized, will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit (See Acts 2:38), will cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, speak with new languages, take up serpents; and if they eat or drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on sick, and they will recover; (See Mark 16:17-18). If we get baptized; we put on Christ; then we are one of Jesus Christ (See Galatians 3:27).

Through this message, God is pointing to you. Now, why are you waiting? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord (See Acts 22:16). We believe that when we get baptized and have a good conscience toward God; The Spirit of God comes on. If you have any doubt then pray to God, and ask him for grace and guidance. I am sure; that one day He will touch you and provoke you for baptism. Then baptism will wash your all previous sins and again make you a new one in the Lord, like a newborn baby. When you believe that Jesus has carried away your sins, then Jesus will provide you with his Holy Spirit to have a personal relationship with him. When it happens, God / The Holy Spirit is forever with you. You may forget it in the future but the Holy Spirit will not leave you alone ever.

Independent Evangelical Ministries based on Great Commission “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” We are a disciples-making Organization we make disciples and send them to make more disciples. After every meeting, Crusade, and Seminar we make a list of repentants and organize a baptism program to enter them in the body of Christ. After they get saved and enter into the family of Christ we take care of them fellowship with them for a few months and teach them the Basics of Christianity, when they become a strong believer we send them to save others and this is how this chain works.
